ANJO, Japan - Japan won its seventh consecutive Asian Games softball gold medal Saturday with a 7-0 mercy-rule victory over China, while veteran pitcher Yukiko Ueno capped a remarkable career milestone by being part of all seven title-winning teams.
"Honestly, I never imagined I would compete in seven Asian Games," the 44-year-old Ueno said. "I see this as a gift from God and want to accept it with gratitude."
