NAGOYA - South Korea withstood a furious comeback from Japan to win the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games women's basketball final 75-70 on Saturday, with the result mirroring the men's final six days earlier.
With Japan using the tournament to audition new talent in the buildup toward the 2028 Olympics, the gold-medal game pitted coach Yuko Oga's experimental side against a full-strength South Korean outfit.
