Robot suit, early vacuum flask make Japan's technology heritage list

TOKYO - A wearable robot suit that uses electrical signals from the body to assist movement and an early stainless steel vacuum flask are among 13 items newly added to a Japanese technology heritage registry, a national science museum in Tokyo said Tuesday.

The National Museum of Nature and Science said the additions brought the total number of registered items to 408. They also include early electric power steering systems that were the world's first for minivehicles and standard passenger cars, according to the museum.
