TOKYO - Paris Olympic women's javelin champion Haruka Kitaguchi is approaching the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games with renewed confidence after taking on a new coach and emerging from an injury-plagued stretch.
The 28-year-old struggled with a right elbow injury during a difficult 2025 season and failed to advance beyond qualifying at the world championships in Tokyo.
