TOKYO - Paris Olympics wrestling gold medalist Akari Fujinami is seeking a second straight gold medal at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, where she will serve as Japan's flag bearer at the opening ceremony.
While she has won an astonishing 153 straight matches since her junior high school days in 2017, the 22-year-old, who hails from Mie Prefecture, a neighbor to the games' host Aichi, is not thinking too much about the record.
