NAGOYA - Puripol Boonson of Thailand won the men's 100-meter sprint at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Friday, setting a competition record of 9.90 seconds.
The 20-year-old logged 9.91 earlier in the night in the semifinals, which briefly stood as the competition record, before shedding a further 0.01 in the final at Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium.
