TOKYO - Japan's Shin Ohashi set a world record of 2 minutes, 4.83 seconds to win gold in the men's 200-meter breaststroke at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Thursday.
The 17-year-old broke the previous world record of 2:05.48 set by China's Qin Haiyang in July 2023 and claimed his second gold medal of the meet after winning the 100-meter breaststroke.
