N. Korea deploys over 100,000 workers overseas, earns $800 mil. in 2025

TOKYO - North Korea earned an estimated $450 million to $800 million in 2025 by deploying as many as 100,000 workers overseas, mainly in China and Russia, a multilateral monitoring group said Wednesday.

Such overseas earnings, largely generated by IT workers, have been used to fund North Korea's priorities, including nuclear and ballistic missile programs, in violation of U.N. resolutions, the team led by the United States, Japan and South Korea said in a report.
