Abe calls for China to play greater role in tackling N. Korea issue

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe called Wednesday, when meeting with the top diplomat from Beijing, for China to play a "more constructive role" in addressing provocative acts by North Korea, the Foreign Ministry said."To solve the problem of North Korea peacefully and diplomatically, Japan wants to cooperate with China, which has a great influence (on Pyongyang)," Abe said when meeting State Councilor Yang Jiechi at the prime minister's office.
