8 divers rescued off Tokyo's Hachijo Island, all conscious: authorities

Eight divers were rescued alive after going missing in waters off Tokyo's Hachijo Island, the local coast guard said Saturday.

An emergency call was made at around 1:50 p.m. after the divers, including an instructor, failed to return as scheduled, according to the coast guard.
