LOS ANGELES - A new museum dedicated to visual storytelling, with galleries on mediums such as Japanese manga, is set to open in Los Angeles later this month, marking the culmination of a 17-year project by "Star Wars" filmmaker George Lucas.
The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, a five-story, spaceship-like complex at Exposition Park, shines the spotlight on "the people's art," or popular forms such as illustration, comics and animation that are often overlooked by the art world with its focus on more traditional disciplines.
