BUDAPEST - Paris Olympic gold medalist Haruka Kitaguchi broke her own Japanese national record to win the women's javelin at the inaugural Ultimate Championship in Budapest on Saturday.
The newly launched competition, created to bring together many of the world's top track and field athletes, features a record total prize fund of $10 million, according to World Athletics.
