8 divers rescued off Tokyo's Hachijo Island, all conscious: authorities

Eight divers were rescued alive after going missing in waters off Tokyo's Hachijo Island, the local coast guard said Saturday.An emergency call was made at around 1:50 p.m. after the divers, including an instructor, failed to return as scheduled, according to the coast guard.They began diving at around 11:30 a.m. and were scheduled to surface about an hour later.The location is about 8.6 kilometers west of a lighthouse on the island.READ FULL ARTICLE
