Police investigating possible 384 mil. yen cash heist in Fukuoka

A man called police Thursday claiming he had been robbed of around 384 million yen ($3.5 million) in cash just after withdrawing it from a bank in the city of Fukuoka in southwestern Japan, prompting the police to search for three suspected robbers.The 29-year-old company employee from Tokyo's Adachi Ward reported to police that he had been sprayed with a substance before being robbed at a parking lot across the street from Mizuho Bank's Fukuoka branch in the busy Tenjin district of Fukuoka at around 12:25 p.m.The suspected robbers are believed to be a group of three.
