Japan secured a berth in the para ice hockey event at next year's Winter Paralympics at the final qualifying competition in Sweden on Wednesday.Japan did not play on Wednesday but the Czech Republic's 5-1 win over Germany games meant the team secured at least a third-place finish and tickets to Pyeongchang in South Korea.It is the first time Japan has qualified for a Winter Paralympics since winning the silver medal at the 2010 event in Vancouver, Canada.Japan has six points in the five-team round-robin tournament after wins over host Sweden and Germany.
