Two police officers were seriously injured Sunday after being attacked by a knife-wielding man in a residential area in the city of Kanazawa on the Sea of Japan coast, according to local police.The man, who is in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder about an hour after the assault took place at around 9:40 p.m. near the man's home in Ishikawa Prefecture, the police said early Monday.
