TOKYO - The Hanshin Tigers clinched back-to-back Central League pennants on Saturday as the second-place Yomiuri Giants lost 5-2 to the DeNA BayStars.
The Tigers earlier fell 6-4 to the Hiroshima Carp but secured the pennant on Yomiuri's defeat, after starting the day with the magic number of one.
