The SoftBank Hawks won the Pacific League for the third straight season Thursday, repeating the feat from 60 years ago when they were the Nankai Hawks.
The Hawks beat the Orix Buffaloes 7-1 at Kyocera Dome Osaka for their ninth straight win to secure the title, helped by the second-place Seibu Lions' 4-2 loss against the Nippon Ham Fighters.
