TOKYO - Yokozuna Onosato maintained the outright lead at the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament on Monday, improving to 8-1 with a straightforward win over No. 4 maegashira Fujiryoga.
Fujiryoga (3-6) landed a solid opening hit, but Onosato calmly stepped to the side and slung the rank-and-file wrestler to the sandy surface with a hand pull down in the final bout of Day 9 at Ryogoku Kokugikan.
