KYIV - Japanese House of Representatives Speaker Eisuke Mori said Tuesday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called during their talks for Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi to visit Kyiv.
Speaking with Kyodo News, Mori said he responded that he would "appropriately convey" the request to Takaichi. Then Prime Minister Fumio Kishida visited Kyiv in 2023, but Takaichi, who took office last October, has yet to travel to the Ukrainian capital.
