Japan SDF unmanned aircraft goes missing, presumed crashed

TOKYO - The Japan Air Self-Defense Force said Tuesday one of its Global Hawk unmanned aircraft went missing over the Sea of Japan and is presumed crashed following a search operation.

The ASDF said photos of debris seen floating in the sea off the western prefecture of Tottori in the search operation led it to conclude that the reconnaissance aircraft had crashed. There were no reports of damage to ships in the area.
