Japan PM to reshuffle ruling party executives Wed., Cabinet Thurs.

TOKYO - Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi will reshuffle the executives of her ruling Liberal Democratic Party on Wednesday and her Cabinet the following day, a senior LDP official said, while six of its junior coalition partner's lawmakers are expected to take up one ministerial position and five junior posts in the government.

LDP Secretary General Shunichi Suzuki told reporters in Tokyo on Tuesday that Takaichi had said at a party executives' meeting that the reshuffle was being made to "strongly implement and realize policies by mobilizing the full strength" of the party and government.
