LDP junior partner's secretary general being considered for Cabinet post

TOKYO - Arrangements are being made for Hiroshi Nakatsuka, secretary general of the Japan Innovation Party, to join Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's Cabinet in a reshuffle planned for Thursday, a source familiar with the matter said.

The junior coalition partner of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party places importance on administrative reform, with Takaichi, who heads the LDP, expected to make the final decision on which post Nakatsuka would assume, the source added.
