Japan's Koizumi likely to remain defense minister in Cabinet reshuffle

TOKYO - Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi is likely to retain Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi in a Cabinet and ruling party leadership reshuffle expected later this month, government sources said Saturday.

Takaichi is keen to maintain policy continuity as the government works to revise Japan's three key security documents by the end of the year, the sources added.
