NAGOYA - Scandal-tainted Chubu Electric Power Co. said Monday it will withdraw its applications for regulatory screening to restart reactors at the Hamaoka nuclear power plant in Shizuoka Prefecture after an investigative report on data-tampering was released.
On Monday, an investigative committee of external lawyers released the report on the manipulation of seismic data by the utility during screening for the restart of the Nos. 3 and 4 reactors at the nuclear power plant.
