Yuichiro Tamaki, head of the opposition Democratic Party for the People, was reelected for a third term Sunday in its leadership election.
Tamaki, 57, defeated Mikihiko Hashimoto, a 30-year-old second-term House of Representatives lawmaker, in the vote held at a special party meeting in Tokyo.
