LOS ANGELES - Roki Sasaki had a rough outing, allowing six runs over three innings, but the Los Angeles Dodgers came from behind to overpower the San Diego Padres 12-7 on Thursday.

Sasaki surrendered seven hits, including three home runs, while fanning three and walking two batters. He threw 53 of his 88 pitches for strikes at Dodger Stadium.

The right-hander did not factor in the decision, with the Dodgers' lineup rallying after he exited the game.

Shohei Ohtani led off the game for the Dodgers with a right-field single and finished the series opener 1-for-4.

The Padres' Japanese reliever Yuki Matsui also struggled in a single inning on the mound in the fifth, enabling the Dodgers to extend their lead as he allowed two runs on two hits and two walks.

The left-hander got the better of star compatriot Ohtani, however, getting him to pop out in foul territory.
