TOKYO - Japanese beef-bowl restaurant chain operator Matsuya Foods Holdings Co. on Wednesday opened a high-end takeout shop in a department store in Tokyo's Ginza, responding the growing demand for takeout items.
Matsuya Premium, the company's first permanent department store location, offers seven dishes, including a Kobe beef bowl made with the famed beef from Hyogo Prefecture, priced at 1,390 yen ($9), and a Japanese wagyu hamburger steak with tomato sauce for 1,681 yen.
