Football: Werder Bremen deny Yuya Osako chance to play at Copa America

Japan striker Yuya Osako will not be able to participate in the 2019 Copa America in Brazil later this year, his German first-division club Werder Bremen announced Tuesday.The Bundesliga side said they are not satisfied with Osako's performance due to his long-term commitments with the Japan international team, including last summer's World Cup in Russia and the recent AFC Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates.Werder Bremen said they have also informed the Japan Football Association of their decision.Osako contributed four goals en route to Japan's runner-up finish at last month's AFC Asian…READ FULL ARTICLE
