Former Japanese player Junn Mitsuhashi was banned for life from tennis and fined $50,000 by the Tennis Integrity Unit on Tuesday for trying to fix matches and betting on the sport.Mitsuhashi, 27, also failed to cooperate with TIU's investigation, which is an offense in its own right, tennis' anti-corruption body said.According to the Japan Tennis Association, Mitsuhashi is the first Japanese to be punished by the TIU.
