Family of Vietnamese girl murdered in Japan holds memorial service in home country

A memorial service was held on April 28 in Hung Yen Province, Vietnam, for a 9-year-old girl who was murdered in March 2017 in Japan.Le Thi Nhat Linh had been living in Chiba Prefecture with her family.Her father, Le Anh Hao, burned a paper bicycle at the Buddhist memorial service in the northern province as a symbolic offering for his daughter to use in her next life.Police arrested Yasumasa Shibuya, the 46-year-old head of the parents' association at the victim's elementary school, on April 14 on suspicion of abandoning the third grader's body.READ FULL ARTICLE
