Figure skating: Japan secures team event berth at Pyeongchang Olympics

Japan secured a berth in the figure skating team event at the Pyeongchang Olympics, a source familiar with the matter said Wednesday.Japan will be one of the 10 nations and regions allotted a spot in the three-day competition, after it claimed enough points to finish among the top 10 as ranked by the International Skating Union.The ISU will decide the countries based on the results at last season's world championships and this season's Grand Prix events.
