Japan's Akito Watabe won his first Nordic combined World Cup title of the season on Saturday.Watabe led the competition after a 142.5-meter ski jump, for which he scored 158.6 points. He remained ahead in the 10-kilometer cross-country race, finishing in 24 minutes, 58.6 seconds.Local favorite Eero Hirvonen was runner-up, crossing the line 31.7 seconds behind Watabe. German Johannes Rydzek was third.The 29-year-old Watabe collected his 10th World Cup victory, and became the second Japanese to claim double-digit wins.
