Olympics: Kitajima to run in Pyeongchang Olympics torch relay

Two-time double Olympic champion swimmer Kosuke Kitajima will later this week run in the torch relay for next February's Pyeongchang Winter Games, event sponsor Coca-Cola (Japan) Co. said Monday.Kitajima, winner of the men's 100- and 200-meter breaststroke at the Athens Olympics in 2004 and Beijing Games four years later, will bear the torch along with 16-year-old American sports climber Ashima Shiraishi in the southeastern South Korean city of Ulsan on Thursday.The 35-year-old Kitajima retired from competitive swimming last year after failing to qualify for the Rio de Janeiro Games at the …READ FULL ARTICLE
