The Miami Marlins announced Friday they have declined their $2 million team option to sign veteran outfielder Ichiro Suzuki for the 2018 season."We've chosen not to pick up #Ichiro's club option for 2018, making him a free agent," the club said in a Twitter post. "It's been an honor watching you play. Thanks, #Ichiro!"The Japanese 44-year-old became a free agent after three seasons in Miami and 17 in the majors.
