Japan opposition rebuffs ruling party's plan to reduce their Diet question time

Japan's opposition parties on Tuesday rebuffed the ruling Liberal Democratic Party's plan to cut the amount of time dedicated to their questions in Diet debates, claiming the ruling party is attempting to avoid scrutiny.The LDP, headed by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, is planning to review the current practice of allocating a longer period of time for opposition parties' questions when compared the amount given to the ruling bloc.
