British novelist Kazuo Ishiguro wins Nobel Prize in literature

Japan-born British novelist Kazuo Ishiguro, best known for his 1989 novel "The Remains of the Day," has won this year's Nobel Prize in literature, the Swedish Academy said Thursday.The academy said the 62-year-old Ishiguro "in novels of great emotional force, has uncovered the abyss beneath our illusory sense of connection with the world."
