Tokyo governor skips tribute to Koreans murdered after 1923 quake

Tokyo Gov. Yuriko Koike bucked tradition Friday by not paying tribute at an annual ceremony commemorating Korean people murdered in the chaos that ensued after the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake, angering event organizers and Korean residents in Japan.The ceremony was held at a Tokyo park on the 94th anniversary day of the huge earthquake.
