Rescue efforts continue after heavy rain kills 10 in east Japan

Search and rescue operations continued in eastern Japan on Saturday after torrential rain caused landslides and flooding in wide areas still reeling from damage caused by recent strong typhoons.At least 10 people were confirmed dead in Chiba and Fukushima prefectures, including a woman in her 40s whose body was discovered in a residential area of the city of Chiba where landslides damaged some houses, police and other sources said.
