Tokyo court decides to extend Ghosn's detention, but shorter than requested

A Tokyo court on Friday decided to extend the detention of former Nissan Motor Co. Chairman Carlos Ghosn to April 22 after he was rearrested last week over fresh allegations of financial misconduct, but for two days shorter than requested by prosecutors.It is rare for a court to cut short the requested detention period for a suspect in a case handled by the Tokyo prosecutors' special investigation squad.
