BEIJING - North Korea test-fired a tactical ballistic missile on Monday "to confirm the success in the research for the technical upgrading of an important core element," state media said.
The Korean Central News Agency report came a day after South Korea's military said North Korea fired different types of ballistic missile toward the Sea of Japan, some traveling more than 900 kilometers.
