ATLANTA - Shohei Ohtani went hitless but stole a base and scored a game-tying run as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 4-1 on Wednesday to prevail in the National League Division Series after four games.

The two-way superstar, who went 0-for-3 on the day at Truist Park, enjoyed his first champagne fight of the season after he missed his team's celebration when the Dodgers won the NL West in September away from Los Angeles and while he was injured.

Batting cleanup, Ohtani walked in the second inning and stole a base -- for the first time since Sept. 2 -- and reached third on a catcher's throwing error. Braves shortstop Mauricio Dubon then failed to catch a blooper as Ohtani came home to tie the game.

Andy Pages singled in two runs in the seventh and Max Muncy had a solo home run in the ninth as the two-time defending World Series champion reached the League Championship Series for the third straight year.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who threw seven innings of one-run ball and earned the win in Game 3 on Tuesday, enjoyed the party with his teammate and compatriot Roki Sasaki.

"It was great that led to today's third win," Yamamoto said as the Dodgers ended the Division Series with three wins and a loss against the Braves, who went 5-1 in the six regular season games against the Dodgers.

"There are eight more wins to go. We'll win it with everyone together."

Left-hander Yuki Matsui retired the only batter he faced in relief but the San Diego Padres lost 3-1 against the Milwaukee Brewers and exited the NLDS. The Brewers won the series 3-1 and will face the Dodgers in the NL Championship Series.

Munetaka Murakami went 0-for-4 as the Chicago White Sox lost 9-3 against the Cleveland Guardians in the American League Division Series for their first win after three games.
