TOKYO - A Japanese court on Friday ruled that the law banning those aged under 18 from taking part in election campaigning is unconstitutional.
The Tokyo District Court said the law constitutes a violation of their right to freedom of expression, but dismissed a claim for damages from the state by four plaintiffs, including high school students.
