TOKYO - As Japan faces a severe labor shortage in many sectors such as healthcare and manufacturing, more companies are counting on artificial intelligence-driven robots, paving the way for them to play a greater role in the workplace.
The Japanese government has set a target of introducing 10 million AI-powered robots by 2040 to deal with the labor shortage caused by the country's aging and shrinking population.
