CHICAGO - Munetaka Murakami broke out of a slump with a three-run homer to lead the Chicago White Sox to a 3-1 win over the Detroit Tigers on Thursday.
The Japanese slugger launched his first long bomb in eight games out to center field off the first pitch he saw from Detroit starter Framber Valdez (10-11) with two out in the bottom of the first.
