TOKYO - NTT Docomo Inc. said Wednesday it provided the personal information, including phone numbers and mobile service plans, of about 340,000 users to Amazon.com Inc.'s Japan unit without their consent.
Japan's largest mobile carrier said a settings error had prevented a confirmation message from being displayed when users signed contracts online, asking whether they agreed to have their personal information shared with Amazon.
