28 fall ill after stadium lunches in Kyoto, food poisoning suspected

KYOTO - Twenty-eight people at a stadium in Kyoto were taken to hospital after eating boxed lunches on Saturday afternoon in a suspected case of food poisoning, first responders and other sources said.

At around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, a facility staffer at Takebishi Stadium Kyoto made an emergency call reporting that multiple people had complained of feeling unwell during a track and field event.
