U.S. Embassy Tokyo unveils 9/11 memorial plaque

TOKYO - The U.S. Embassy in Tokyo unveiled a memorial plaque on Friday for the nearly 3,000 victims of the 2001 attacks, including 24 Japanese, on the 25th anniversary of the tragedy.

Ambassador George Glass told six family members of victims, "Please know that the United States remembers your loved ones and shares in your pain," adding that the embassy plans to welcome bereaved families each September.
