MANILA - The B.League, Japan's top basketball competition, held its first game overseas Wednesday in the Philippines as the Gunma Crane Thunders beat Levanga Hokkaido 98-81 in a preseason encounter.
The two-game exhibition series through Thursday at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, the venue for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup final, is aimed at promoting the B.League to an overseas audience with the Asian market seen as an important foothold.
