TOKYO - Nine people were injured, two seriously, after a leisure boat collided with a seawall near Haneda airport in Tokyo on Monday, according to the coast guard.

An emergency call about a boat that ran aground was made around 7:05 p.m. There were 10 people aboard and all were conscious when rescued, the Metropolitan Police Department said.

The incident occurred between the airport and Kawasaki in neighboring Kanagawa Prefecture, with the boat believed to have been heading toward Yokohama.
